The challenge for Contemplative Outreach historically and
especially today is to nurture the burgeoning growth of Centering Prayer while
keeping it firmly rooted in its contemplative tradition. We have faith that we
can meet this challenge by asking those who have been touched by Centering
Prayer to give with a generous spirit.
For All the World
We have shared Centering Prayer to an extent we never
dreamed possible and we will continue to meet the deep spiritual hunger of
people around the world. But giant steps won't take us as far as we need to
travel. We need to make a quantum leap in our capabilities and resources in
order to serve when we are called. We have an immediate need of $1,750,000 for
outreach and communications objectives and $750,000 for the Endowment Fund.
While $2,500,000 may seem like a lot of money, we trust
that in consenting to the presence and action of God in our lives we will all be
inspired to meet the challenges and opportunities of the future. It is in the
spirit of this consenting that we trust that the goal of this campaign will be
realized.
